Note to sessions from booklet:
# A1: Parker does not play on “The Man I Love” and “Crazy Rhythm” which were the same session.
# C1, C2: Parker does not play on “I Surrender Dear” and “Slow Drag” which were the same session.
# H1: Al Porcino has stated that Parker was not present but that his solo was dubbed in Autumn 1948. It is possible that the recording, without Parker’s solo, was made sometime in 1947.
# H8 to I3: “Segment” and “Diverse” are alternate takes of the same tune. “Passport”: the two versions are different tunes, I1 is a blues, I2 is based on “I Got Rhythm”.
# J1 to J3: “Blues (fast)”: that 12 takes had to be cut before a satisfactory one was made seems extremely doubtful.
# M12 to M5: “Rocker” issued as “I’ll Remember April” on all issues. This mistake probably occurred because Parker played a bit of the beginning melody of “I’ll Remember April” when his adlibbed this part.
# F1 to G2: According to Ross Russell in “Bird Lives!”, this session took place in Los Angeles on June 5, 1952.
