The Lab Series amplifiers were the result of a collaboration between Norlin companies Gibson and Moog. This cutting edge technology in the late 70’s early 80’s enabled the Lab Series amps to get an amazingly rich tube-like tone from a solid state amp. This resulted in much improved reliability and no tube related problems. I bought this amp for that very reason in that I always wanted a great sounding tube-like solid state amp I could depend on if my other amps had any problems. This amp is 100 watts of solid state power running through an Electro Voice 15 ” speaker. An incredible projection of quality tone. (Think Vibroverb) Plenty loud enough for any venue.  The legendary BB King played Lab Series amps as well as Ronnie Montrose, and Ty Tabor from King’s X to name a few. This 2 channel amp has an onboard compressor and reverb. Both channels have a bright switch.
