Vintage Greco KF-190 Tele / Rick Style Semi-Hollow Electric Guitar w/ VIDEO! Fujigen MIJ

Here we have a rather rare Greco KF-190 made at the Fujigen factory in the latter half of the 1960s. A massive, fully hollow mahogany laminate with vertical bracing and a Telecaster/Rickenbacker mash-up design make this guitar  unique in every way. The pickups are powerful single coils, that, coupled with the hollow body serve up a dark, fat, spanky sound with big dollops of low end goodness.

Everything on the guitar; hardware, electronics and vibrato system are  original and functioning. Cosmetically it’s surprisingly clean with some dents and scratches here and there but nothing major. The wood has shrunk from the binding in places but is still structurally sound with no gaps or cracks. There is also some discoloration to the binding at the lower bout (pictured). While the frets are on the low side, there’s still some life left in them.

An uncommon opportunity to acquire an interesting guitar with a completely unique tone!

These guitars are super tough to find information on, and they don’t carry serial numbers.  From what we can tell, these guitars were made roughly between 1966 and 1969.  This one is in EXCELLENT playing and cosmetic shape, especially considering its age.

This guitar was just set up by our in house luthier. Currently, it has fret wear and plays real good. New frets would take this over the moon.
